front axle
 The
bronze cast front axle was constructed to the specific demands in
the model branch aiming in appearance and function to come as near
to the original as possible.
Due to the inclined
axle spindle bolt the wheel rolls over the tyre centre. Therefore
the wheel cannot "travel off" into the fender but remains moving
in its original position. The rolling radius of the front tyres
corresponds with that of the original vehicle. As a side effect
the servo power required is reduced which also reduces energy consumption.
The axle spindle bolts are adjustable to varying wheel positions
and chassis lengths.
 The
installation of leaf springs underneath the chassis allows for a
wider steering angle and therefore a much smaller turning radius.
This axle can also be used for all other chassis types with sideways
installed springs by means of an adapter which is included in the
kit.
Since February
2003, all our complete assembly kits are equipped with this type
of axle.
