 MAN
TG-A XXL 2-axle truck tractor
 The
first complete model we built was the MAN TG-A XXL. Praised in Brussels
as the Truck of the Year 2001, we felt it a special challenge to
meet the high standards of the manufacturers of the original truck,
the MAN company. Thanks to their supportive assistance by means
of CAD design originals we were able to transfer these to the scale
of 1/45,5 for the construction of the model. The high demand on
origin fidelity called for new approaches as to the material used
as well as the processing. So we started using stainless VA steels
for the chassis and the cross supports which resulted in material
thicknesses true to the original giving a sturdy finished product.
It was out of the question to use wholesale screws for our top quality
chassis for which we fabricated miniature hexagon head screws and
nuts.
In order to
maintain this high standard we are also producing accessories such
as the rims on the basis of the original documents. Drilled from
solid material and provided with oblong holes, these rims are equipped
with high quality ball bearings guaranteeing high functionality
and beautiful appearance. Seventy per cent of modern driver cabs
are made of top quality plastic material which induced us to use
the same for our model cabs. Components as these have a significant
influence on the overall appearance of the finished model and it
was our utmost aim to avoid depreciating compromises. Our first
models were highly convincing and induced our customer to present
them to the public at the International Construction Machinery Exhibition
BAUMA at Munich which resulted in over 300 inquiries world wide
after the show.
It is our foremost
aim to apply this superior quality standard to all our system kits
and spare parts, so that also the private customer may benefit from
our know-how gained through our close contact to the providers of
utility vehicles.
 A
specially designed transport box was developped to match our superior
assembly kit. Complete truck kits as well as cab kits are delivered
in beautifully joined birch wood crates. We are conscious of the
fact that this outstanding casing creates some expectation on ist
contents and we are sure to fully meet the customer's satisfaction
(see photo). All system kits are supplied with comprehensive instruction
manuals and clear three dimensional drawings. Also included with
all kits are the necessary special tools for the miniature screws
and nuts.
All parts used
